WMO EC-78 endorsed Resolution 6(2) - Establish a Code of Ethics (CoE) between WMO and the Association of the Hydro-Meteorological and Environmental Industry (HMEI).  WMO Secretary-General and HMEI Chair signed the document at the EC-78 Plenary session right after adoption of this Resolution to the applause of the audience.  The work done by WMO PPE Office and HMEI Council to develop the CoE was highly appreciated. This document which stipulates ethical principles that stakeholders from both the public and private sectors should commit to when engaging in activities along the value chain for the delivery of weather, climate, water and related environmental services is reproduced below.
