We, TOTEX Corporation, celebrate the HydroMeteorological and Environmental Industry, together with other member companies, on the 25th Anniversary.

Since becoming a member of the Association of Hydrometeorological Equipment Industry more than two decades ago, our business opportunities have significantly increased, thanks to the past and current HMEI Secretariat’s support and the many tender opportunities.

Unlike at the end of the 20th century, modern AI technology may have become deeply integrated into our meteorological community. We, TOTEX Corporation, would like to contribute to NHMS and radiosonde manufacturers in the field of upper air observations through supplying our products, along with the various support provided by HMEI.

The problems HMEI members work on have real consequences for people. How do we get observations from remote stations into the systems where they can support an early warning? How do we help countries build observation networks that they can sustain for decades to come? How do we make sure data can move between systems, organizations, and borders when it is needed?

HMEI gives Campbell Scientific a place to work on those problems alongside the wider community. Through WMO Expert and Task Teams, we’ve contributed to first-mile data interoperability and the GCOS surface reference network. We’ve helped create standards for Automated Weather Stations that supports initiatives such as Early Warnings for All and SOFF/GBON. We’ve also contributed to the World Bank/GFDRR/HMEI guidance for sustainable observation networks in developing countries.

Through HMEI, Campbell Scientific can bring our experience to the table and work alongside the broader community to make environmental observations more useful to the people that depend on them.
